Welcome to the Geek Valley community forums! Our rules are designed to ensure our community is a safe, fun, and efficient place for individuals to discuss and learn web development, coding, and other computer related topics.

• Spamming
  Please do not spam in any fashion. This includes posting advertisements in forums not designated for advertisement use, posting a URL to your own site in a thread (unless the thread is a site review), or other methods.
• Appropriate Language
  We are doing our best to ensure our forum is safe for all our users. Please use appropriate language at all time in the forum – and vulgar words will be censored. Bigotry and hateful language will absolutely not be tolerated. Racial, sexual, or ethnic slurs may result in an immediate, permanent ban.
• Signatures
  We invite all our users to participate in the community with their own unique signature. Please do not use any excessive font sizes, lengths, and please do not post images (other than forum smiles) in signatures. Signatures are for personal use – no advertisements or affiliate links should be in your signature. If an administrator or moderator sees a problem will your signature, he or she will send you a private message or email regarding the matter. Please respect moderator or administrator decisions.
• Keep it on Geek Valley
  All help and support discussions should remain on Geek Valley. Please do not post links to your own email or direct members to contact you via methods other than replies or PM. We want all of our members and future visitors to benefit from the solution to whatever problem you are posting, so keeping it on the site helps us achieve that. “If you asked it, somebody else probably will too!”
• Correct Punctuation, Grammar.
  Please do your best to make your posts understandable and professional. Although you probably won’t be punished for being a bad typist, its much easier to read things that are typed in English, and not “1337 Sp3ak.” Take a few minutes for each post, and use a spell checker. IESpell (http://www.iespell.com) for internet explorer or SpellBound (http://spellbound.sourceforge.net/index) for Firefox are recommended.
• Have fun!
  Geek Valley is a place where we invite all users to enjoy technology. Have a joke? Post it in our lounge section. Feel free to use our extensive smiley collection, and to have humorous slogans or sayings in your profile. Life is boring without fun things, so have fun while participating at Geek Valley!

Below are rules for specific forums on Geek Valley

• Site Reviews
  Before posting a review, please review two or more sites in the reviews section. Please post quality reviews.
  
  When posting a review, please use a specific thread title, and include your goals and objectives are for the site you have designed. (Are you looking for simplicity? Does it need to include lots of advertisements? Etc...)
  
  Do not post links to other BBs/forums. We will not review forums, even custom skins.
  
  Please keep reviews positive, and provide constructive criticism.
  
• Advertisement Section
  The advertisement section is reserved for members with 10 or more posts. Do not spam (or make “junk” posts) to achieve this 10 post status. If you do so, your posts may be deleted.
